Determine the
strengths and needs of the student through a variety of measures including
interviews, observations, and a review of psycho-educational testing.
Represent parents at school meetings in order to: communicate student strengths and needs;
explore appropriate school services and programs; assist in the school application process;
develop and review IEP and/or 504 plans; and implement recommendations for appropriate
accommodations, goals and objectives, and instructional strategies.
Link parents with a variety of community resources and supports, including tutors,
therapists, assessors, assistive technology, and talent development opportunities, such as gifted
educational experiences and arts activities.
